TULIP TIME FESTIVAL - BOWRAL NSW Australia

Tulip festival is held every year in historic town of Bowral. Its about less than 2 hours drive from Sydney.
Now in its 57th year, this award-winning festival is one of Australia's biggest floral festivals, attracting tens of thousands of visitors. Bowral is a beautiful historic town and there is a lot of character to its buildings and plants.

There are about 75000 tulip bulbs of various colors displayed in assorted tulip beds. I decided to visit the festival this weekend. Saturday 23/09/2017 was a warm sunny day marking the start of Summer in NSW. I arrived at the festival just before noon. The garden was already full of people from all communities. This weekend there were over 20 local land regional stallholders from homemade jams, homewares, clothing, jewellery, soaps to candles. Light refreshments including coffee, tea and scones, sandwiches, pies and other fresh and prepared foods were also available in Corbett Gardens.

Tulip festival is held in Corbett Gardens in the middle of the town. below are the pictures I took to share with steemit community. I have used Sony A7ii with Minolta macro lense. I ended up not having many macro shots due to it being very windy day. On overall the combination did not disappoint me.

This magnificent tree is on display all across Bowral and it looks majestic when its on full bloom

There was a very nice band performance. They were playing tunes all day long and people really loved it.

The event attracted a large crowd. people were making pictures and purchases from local stalls.

There were picture frames on various locations and people really liked these.
