Purakaunui Bay, New Zealand
This shot was taken from the back of our car during @suitcasemama and I's road trip through New Zealand. It was a bit of a trek to get to Purakaunui Bay in the south part of NZ's South Island, but very worth it. I think this photo really captures what we were hoping to find during our month long exploration of the islands: a bit of solitude, a bit of adventure, and a whole lot of beauty.

I couldn't imagine a day at the beach being any better than this... :-)
I just come back from a short trip to the east side of Crete and my favorite beach. Apart from the fact that it is a gorgeous sandy beach (you can't see it in this shot but take my word, it is) it is also blessed with this amazing plant! Sea daffodil flourishes every fall and when it does I make sure to be there!

Tallow Beach captured from the Byron Bay Lighthouse. It´s not only a beautiful Beach but also a quite popular surfspot.

thanks @eoj. Depends on the time of the year. But in summer you can easily surf without wetsuit. I surfed Byron in May with boardshorts and it was quite cold after 2 hours 😁

This was the day in the summer when I went on a Photowalk to the rocky sea coast. This tree is the subject I always enjoy taking photos of. Taken in northern Estonia.

So, awesome, why did I discover this only now? Temperatures are going back up in southern Brazil, soon it'll be beach time for us. But for now all I can do is admire the pictures taken during the winter.
On the picture below the beach slowly reclaims its space while eating the old Altair ship, a few more years and it'll become history for the generations to come.

I am fortunate to have seen so many beautiful beaches throughout the world, but Portugal has some amazing beaches, and I'm sharing one of the national ones, which is also one of my favourite places to spend some beach days: this is the beach of Zambujeira, a small village in Alentejo region. Here, when the sun was already setting.
Lake Tahoe has some of the best beaches, when the lake level is low...
