Die Natur als Künstler - Nature as artist

Wie diejenigen, die meinen Blog schon etwas kennen, bestimmt wissen, bin ich leidenschaftlicher Landschaftsfotograf. Da ich am wunderschönen Bodensee lebe, welcher an die Alpen grenzt und im Westen noch unweit den Schwarzwald als besonderes Landschaftsgebiet bereit hält, gehen mir so leicht nicht die Motive aus. Und dennoch, wenn ich zum Beispiel zum wiederholten Male auf meiner Halbinsel, der Höri, unterwegs bin, um einen Sonnenuntergang zu fotografieren , kommt es mitunter vor, dass die Farbstimmungen zur goldenen oder später zur blauen Stunde etwas flau daher kommen. Das kann manchmal dazu führen, dass ich meinen kleinen Fototrip relativ früh abbreche, gerade wenn ich ganz in der nähe auf der Lauer liege. Oder, so wie z.B. gestern, ich schaue mich etwas genauer um und entdecke Details oder besondere Phänomene, die es wert sind sie fotografisch festzuhalten. Manchmal kann das so weit gehen, dass Teile eines menschlichen Bauwerkes, von der Natur, von Wind und Wetter, so geformt wurden, als hätte ein Bildhauer oder Maler, Hand angelegt.

As those who already know my blog will know, I am a passionate landscape photographer. Since I live on the beautiful Lake Constance, which borders on the Alps and in the west still not far away the Black Forest as a special landscape , I do not run out of motives so easily. And yet, when, for example, I'm repeatedly on my way to my peninsula, the Höri, to photograph a sunset, it sometimes happens that the colour moods are somewhat dull at the golden hour or later at the blue hour. Sometimes this can lead to the fact that I stop my small photo trip relatively early, straight if I lie in the lurking area very near. Or, like yesterday for example, I look around a bit more closely and discover details or special phenomena that are worth capturing photographically. Sometimes this can go so far that parts of a human building, formed by nature, wind and weather, as if a sculptor or painter had put on a hand.

Mein erstes Beispiel ist ein Pfosten im jungen Rhein bei Stein am Rhein, wahrscheinlich von einer alten Steganlage, der inmitten des Wassers stehend umringt von im Wasser gespiegelten Wolken, ein wunderbares Schwarz/ Weis Motiv abgab.

Ich habe hier bei der Bildentwicklung eine rel. überbelichtete Einstellung gewählt und dann teils noch vorhandene dunklere Schattierungen um das Motiv entfernt so dass es maximal freigestellt ist und meinen Wunschvorstellungen entsprach.

My first example is a post in the young Rhine near Stein am Rhein, probably from an old jetty, which, standing in the middle of the water, is surrounded by clouds reflected in the water, giving off a wonderful black and white motif.

I chose a relatively overexposed setting for the image development and then removed some darker shades around the motif so that it was as free as I could imagine.

Das zweite Beispiel ist eine Langzeitbelichtung eines Steines am Seeufer lang nach Sonnenuntergang. Das besondere Lichtspiel wurde durch die Reflexion des hoch stehenden Mondes im leicht unruhigen Wasser erzeugt.

The second example is a long exposure of a stone on the lake shore long after sunset. The special play of light was created by the reflection of the high standing moon in the slightly turbulent water.

Das dritte Beispiel ist ein faszinierendes Zusammenspiel von Schnee Wind und Kälte, das dieses Tribal auf dem Pfosten am Hafen formte.

The third example is a fascinating interplay of snow, wind and cold that formed this tribal on the post at the harbour.

Als Fazit kann ich nur sagen, beim fotografieren immer die Augen offen halten. Manchmal entdeckt man ein besonderes Detail erst beim zweiten hingucken oder man kommt auf Ideen, wenn man seinen Geist fernab von festgefahrenen Verhaltensweisen schweifen lässt und inspiriert wird durch Beobachtungen

As a conclusion I can only say, always keep your eyes open when taking pictures. Sometimes you only discover a special detail when you look at it the second time or you come up with ideas when you let your mind wander far away from stuck behaviors and are inspired by observations.
