Extra Shots From The Lights

I posted a shot yesterday using Appics. It’s actually the first app/login I have to the Steem blockchain on my phone so it seems pretty cool. Downsides It force crops the photos (at least I don’t know what to stop the crop). It also does not allow for post content 🤷‍♂️.

Thought I could add a couple extra shots from the same night. Without the force crop they shots look better in landscape in my opinion.

Lofoten is roughly 88 degrees north so plenty of Northern lights action. If that's your thing look out for clear skies and some geomagnetic activity. When the shows on it’s pretty ridiculous.

I tend to think of Northern lights as an extra sunrise/sunset. You can chase them if you want but usually the best ones are when you least expect it. This night last week was no exception when we were just out our way back form the shop and decided it was too good of a show not to stop and take it in for a few mins.

Directly overhead and all over the sky. Too weak and the lights are a band to the north, too strong and they're too far south. Smack bang overhead with a sense that you're inside the action is what we're after. The good kind of Northern lights are actually better than photos make them look because they move fast. Hope everyone gets to see some Northern lights some day. It's easy to take for granted but I remember the first time I experienced them in Iceland it was intense.
