Red Mountain, BC
During a three week stay in Rossland, BC, Canada I experienced blue sky days galore... except for this one documented here!
This one was cold.
Now, I live in the UK, it's dreary, grey and wet most of the winter. So, snow and mountains and crisp, cold sunny days with blue skies are one of life's wonders for me.
And here I am posting my favourite images from my time in The Canadian Rockies, and...
they're grey and overcast!
I have an innate attraction to low light situations on the whole so this was an extremely exciting day for me.
After thawing out from the -30°C (-22°F) temperature on the mountain we drove home very carefully through what was a somewhat eery/eerie valley floor...
... that conjured the feeling of Cormac McCarthy's book 'The Road' - one terrifying book and the film adaptation directed by John Hillcoat - desolate stuff.
