Photofeed Daily Round-Up #110
Tuesday has come and gone and I officially have my first tan/burn of the year. The Midwest is finally warming up (for good?) so you can expect to see a Columbus Steemit photography meetup here soon!
Make sure you check out the April Photography News from @skiesandsports and join our argument about what makes a photograph good. If you leave an interesting comment I (@jrue) will give you a 100% upvote.
For those of you that are new, here is a quick reminder of who we are and what we are about. @photofeed is run by @cryptoctopus, @jrue, @aweber, and @yumyumseth.
Here's what you can expect to see on a regular basis from PhotoFeed:
- Up to 5 resteems every day showing off and rewarding the top content posted to #photofeed.
- A daily wrap up post highlighting and rewarding the 3 best photos from the previous day.
- 1 weekly post to congratulate our favorite photo of the week.
Steemauto seems to be functioning properly currently, so go join our curation trail and rack up those rewards!
If you know of any talented photographers that are not posting in #photofeed or are not on Steemit, let them know about this project!
1/2 of the SBD of this post goes to the great photographers featured below, and the other 1/2 currently is going towards increasing rewards in the future!
Here are our favorite photos that we resteemed on April 30th:
This photo from @nero12 is special to me because I was able to visit Erbil, Kurdistan this last summer.
I love the minimalism and contrast here from @zikmaulana. Also, here's an example of a well made and placed watermark.
Finally here's a shot from @jpphotography. I'd love to make it to Peru some day.
Here's how you can get involved:
- If you’re a photographer, use #photofeed as a tag. We’ll look at every photo posted there.
- Join our curation trail at steemauto.com to help reward amazing photography and earn some nice curation rewards for yourself (steemauto seems to be up and running agin, so come join the fun!).
- Follow us at @PhotoFeed to see the best photo content on Steemit.
If you would like your image removed from this post, leave a comment below (you will not receive any rewards if your image is removed).
As always, please feel free to comment with any feedback or questions regarding the PhotoFeed project. We don't always have time to answer all the comments, but we do read them and appreciate your input!!!!
I love the photos
I am very proud of you. you are one of the steemians who get the highest reward .. please guide me
Thanks Jeff! Quality content is the way to get quality rewards!
I'm actually going to Peru in less than 10 days... Exciting times.
Ooh where to?
Lima, Cuzco, all over really because of this class trip. Any recommendations?
Don't forget to check out the Salinas de Maras from my photo when you get to Cusco, they are really amazing!
If you are looking for another cool place to go, I can recommend Huaraz, amazing Andean landscape!
That's basically where I've been. And Machu Picchu but I assume if you're going to Cuzco you'll be heading there. It's amazing!
Great images. Always love to come to your blog and get inspired. Hope one day I get to inspire you. Cheers.
Cool! Just found out about you guy/gals.
Upvoted and followed. I'm not anybody's professional photographer, but once in awhile I get lucky.
Newb question: Do I really use the # before "photofeed" when tagging?
TIA...
Hey @mepatiot, welcome!
Yes, you need to use the #photofeed tag if you want your pictures to be looked at by us here at PhotoFeed.
Hmmmm... Does that let you go past 5 tags somehow to 6, or more?
No, #photofeed is one of your 5 tags.
OK...thanks.
Hey, how come I see some blog entries with like 20 tags?
Hmm, not sure! Maybe they've changed that 5 tag limit. Make sure any tag you use is relevant to your post though!
For sure...
Thanks.
So cool to make it in the round-up, thanks! Peru is an amazing country to visit, I can highly recommend it :)
@zikmaulana's watermark is really placed very well, I still need to learn how to do this properly haha
Watermarks can be placed anywhere, I just adjust to be more balanced, hahaha
I just auto-watermark when I export a photo with Lightroom, it doesn't look nearly as good as yours though ;)
