On The Edge

in #photofeed5 years ago

It's just a matter of time, as a big black rock sits on the edge waiting for it's turn to fall off. This is a remnant of the volcanic cap that previously covered and protected the soft underlying layers from erosion. This amazing place shows how the Earth can rapidly break down over time under the right conditions.

Hi Martha, I appreciate your thoughtful compliments. Thanks and blessings to you.

Greetings @irvinesimages. It is surprising how three types of ecosystems can be seen sharing the same space.

Saludos @irvinesimages. Es sorprendente como pueden apreciarse tres tipos de ecosistemas compartiendo un mismo espacio.

This is in the Alpine zone at over 10,000 feet above sea level. Nice and cool during the summer. Greetings to you.

Hello @irvinesimages. It's beautiful to appreciate how life works out.

Hola @irvinesimages. Es Bello apreciar como la vida se abre paso.

Hello tiababi, Your right and appreciation is good positive energy.

That's a nice view! I remember that area. What a cool and fun adventure it was going up there. Interesting words about the rock falling eventually too, I wonder if it's still there or if it fell yet? Erosion and how the earth moves over time sure is intriguing. Neat shot!

This place is another one of the gems of the southwest. I'm glad we got to see it and yes that was fun!
