EXTREME DIY Kite Flying Science challenge...with the village kids! Kenya African Beach Safari

So, occasionally in life you just can't get your hands on what you need. This is even more true out here in East Africa. So you must always be thinking outside the box. In other words....DIY Engineer the crap out of everything....
Here, we used an old "pop up" two person tent to make our own kite. It was a hilarious lesson in the forces of dynamic lift, sometimes requiring many small humans to "hold it down". We used laundry line for the guide lines. Finally we took it down the path to our very own personal wind tunnel. The low tide and cliff sided estuary sucked cold air off the Indian ocean whizzing past us with this enormous venturi effect.
It was the perfect Sunday.
