Hanging Out With Dumpster Chickens On The Hook
These two beauties kept me company last night on the hook. As a young kid I learned to call them “Dumpster Chickens.”
I know most people think of bald eagles with respect and admiration. Don’t get me wrong, they truly are majestic beasts. However if you’ve ever been near any garbage dump where they feed and hunt it is stark contrast the serene nature of this photo. Imagine 50+ Of these big birds fighting over garbage in a frenzied spectacle of swoops, squawks and dives. Can you see the Dumpster Chickens?
These two behaved quite differently. Regal, graceful and even melodic at times. One of the many reasons I love being on the hook - it changes my perspective.
