Kluane Panoramic
I was so excited last autumn when I drove up to Kluane National Park in Canada's Yukon Territory, having always wanted to visit this northern land after reading books about the Klondike Gold Rush. Now, here I was in one of its National Parks on a beautiful morning after a long day and night of driving from northern British Columbia. This first image in the Park, from the first viewpoint I found, was a four-frame panorama in a frustrating location because the trees obscured most of the view of the lake and mountains. I balanced on the tallest rock in the parking lot to get this angle.
I would later spend a few memorable days in Kluane, under sunlit cloud and Aurora Borealis, and I loved it as one of my favourite parts of the whole cross-Canada adventure, but can you believe that until now I had only processed one or two of the 3000 photos? Sometimes I save the best for later...

did you paint those clouds in by hand? :)
Not exactly. ;)
ah :)
Looks pretty awesome though!
Thanks! :)
I'm looking forward to the photos. I'm pretty sure I will not go to the Northern terrorties of Canada. Our mini van would not like all the offroad highways. Have fun and show us what you saw please!

It depends on where you go! The roads were really good to get to Kluane. North of Dawson is another matter, but I never went up that way. :)
I can believe it. I'm behind about 4,000 personal raw files. Lol
Hahaha, yes, I don't think many of us are really on top of that. But it's nice to know that there are photos to edit when we're in the mood!
PS
Look into the Pusher Labs Pfixer as you can edit files way faster in Lightroom.
What is this new devilry??? Have you used this and found it to work? I've seen physical sliders and knobs that you can buy to use to Lightroom, and thought it was a BRILLIANT idea, but too expensive for me.
Just unreal dude! This is so good. Resteemed.
Thank you, dude(s)!!! :D
You betcha man(s)!
Hey, the pluralism is one-sided here!
Great stuff my friend! I always wanted to visit that part of the world, go on trails which were full of gold hunters in the past, visit some old mines or forgotten towns. In such landscapes... 3000 photos is really not a lot I guess ;). Great panorama, in fullscreen mode looks fantastic!
Thank you!! I wish I could have explored more of the Yukon and driven up to Dawson City where most of the mining action took place during the gold rush. The Yukon is highest on my list of places to return in Canada - I only scratched the surface!
It is huge area so I am sure there is a lot to see and visit every time. States and Canada has these amazing wild areas where people can just disapear for a couple of days without problems ;). The same we can find here, in northern parts of Norway, Sweden and Finland (Lapland). Love such northern landscapes.
Me too! Nothing beats that kind of landscape. :)
The mountains look like they have a pretty sweet tan line
Hahahaha, that's true!
Did you get to tombstone?
I am so keen to get up there.
Noooooo, that's one of the big reasons to go back. I considered it, but the time of year and shortness of time and being alone without cell service in an area with very few people at that time of year didn't sound like a great idea.
Yes its so far from anywhere.
3000 photos! Wow. But look forward to seeing them.
