CAUGHT in a carnival.
I was in a creative vacuum. I had travelled far. On the road for 5 weeks, and I was exhausted, really.
But it was saturday, and I felt I had to explore the new city I had just arrived in.
Bogota, Colombia.
On reflex - i grabbed my camera. You know. Just in case something interesting came about!
And surely enough, just after getting off the bus in La Candelaria (downtown Bogota), I was blessed with painted faces, jesters, tall people and happy music.
The photography Gods had granted me new creative energy, and I got some cool shots.
Sometimes the push you need is just a small busride away.
Oh, and always bring your camera ;)
