Amputee Mantis Can Still Catch a Meal No Problem
This was an epic scene when I caught this moment in time, live. I will post the video of it later tomorrow perhaps when I am free, it is a short clip but wow is it neat to see this in action.
I was weeding the main hugel early this morning in preparation for all the transplants, when this one armed mantis appeared on the dirt in front of me. Since I had gloves on, I snatched it up quick and inspected it up close as it writhed in my hand.. until I placed her on top the stump where the “Orange Mysterious Fungi” is located.. sure enough the bug remained where I placed it, and even took a meal straight out of the sky.. or something.
My back was turned for a while when I came back to this beast feasting on the unwanted invasive spotted lantern fly. It was too good a scene to pass up.
Soon to get a baller camera for wayyyy more epic shots and videos on the ground!
