RE: #PHOTOCHALLANGE ANIMALS AND PLANTS for this lovely rainy Wednesday
Okay, so I received a hydrangia as a gift, flowers died and we just planted it as well! I am so hoping it grows here. Climate is tropical so I planted it in an area which has shade....fingers crossed, it's one of my favorite flowers! Love this pink one you have!
An acidic soil gives blue flowers. You can have pink flowers colored blue by adding aluminum sulphate or hydrangea blue maker to the ground. This ensures that the soil becomes more acidic to which the flowers respond and turn blue. Thats why we have all kinds off color in the garden
This is what I heard!! Facinating. Actually the flowers I received are blue and white, and my friend told me I needed to amend the soil to keep them blue. I love all colors. Is this just a type of hydrangia food that you buy? Are yours pink? Do you amend the soil to achieve pink? (Right now I'm just hoping they survive, lol we're going into storm season... who know what will happen) Thanks so much @brittandjosie
Did you know that the color can change through soil??
