Dubrovnik
It was founded in the 7th century and got its name
because of the oak forests growing in this region.
Its location on the seashore contributed to the rapid development of the merchant fleet and by the 15th century it had become an independent republic.
The image of the medieval city of Dubrovnik has been preserved to this day. Due to its cultural and historical values, it was recognized by UNESCO
as the World Heritage of Humanity.
