The Spirea bush!
Dear readers and subscribers, I'm happy to continue my education campaign on the surrounding flora and fauna! Sincerely I hope that you will find for yourself that something useful.
Today in the lens "Spiraea" or earlier "Tavolga".
According to some studies, Spiraeus has about 90 species, not counting specially-derived hybrids.
Designers and gardeners loved Spiraeus for unpretentiousness. The shrub grows on almost all soils and, with the right approach, blooms from May to frost.
About Spirea, as a plant, not everyone knows, but the asperin, a widely known antipyretic! The birth of Asperin is due to Spirea's shoots. The fact is that the production of acetylsalicylic acid in 1839 was made possible by the presence in the shoots of the plant of the natural component - the glycoside of salicin, which as a result of chemical transformations is transformed into a well-known aspirin. Do not you think that the names "Asperin" and "Spiraeus" are consonant? The root of the word is one for two!
I tried to arrange Ivy along the fence with the neighbors, but he did not get accustomed. But Spiraea, surely will get accustomed. She is more beautiful! Therefore, the next year, I hope, to share photos of his own Spirea.
Thank you for your attention and support! Garnet1!
Interesting about the Asperin.. I learned it is made out of oil... probably the official one made out of plants is no longer accepted by law/governments/healthcare. What nature brings to us is wrong. May I share you post on the web as well?
