Damn thing was flimsy and fragile...I had to be damn careful where I put my chains.
I could only chain at the ends..
NO STRAPS or NUTHING
in the middle.
this is why truckers get gray hair.

Wonder what sound that made with air going over it at 60+...

welcome aboard.

Seems like they coulda given you some boxes full of packing peanuts to strap across.

Guess they, or you, had good insurance.

when I said it 'wasn't very heavy"
I meant it only weighed ten or twenty tons..
packing peanut?

Well, I suppose that's why they didn't supply you with cardboard boxes full of small styrofoam nuggets, known to me as packing peanuts, because they are shaped, and sized, about like a peanut.

The straps don't need to support the whole mass, just keep a bit of pressure on to keep it stable. Fact: you didn't need the extra hassle, you just got it done.

Wow, glad you made it ! I'm pretty sure you didn't drive through Kansas ... They should have tag welded a cage for you to chain boom to, (SOMETHING) end chain only, wow, that's insane to have on roads. I bet you were happy to get rid of that death trap, good job man ...REALLY ! (THAT my friends is a truck DRIVER !)
