Hiking Scotchman Peak with Sam Cannon!

I've been all kinds of busy lately with school starting, as well as working as much as I can. I still keep finding time to do fun stuff here and there, and here is a prime example of that!

This summer I had an epic opportunity to hike Scotchman Peak with my good friend (and professional kendama player) Sam Cannon! This peak is located in Clark Fork Idaho, and overlooks Lake Pend Oreille.

This hike was a strenuous one, but Sam and I were physically prepared. We hiked the 3.75 miles up to the peak in approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes! We kept a steady and fast pace throughout the majority of the hike, and it paid off. We got to the top and were faced with an epic view. We took it in for a few minutes and then without notice the clouds rolled in and smothered our visibility to nothing.

When we neared the top we ran into some descending hikers. They mentioned that they had only seen one goat on their hike. After the clouds rolled in, so did the goats. During the hour or so we spent on the peak we saw over 10 different goats! I was lucky enough to snap some photos of a few of them!

All in all this was an unreal experience and it left me with an itch to keep exploring. Thanks for checking out my post! I hope you enjoyed, let me know what you think in the replies!
