Hydrogen: The World's First Holographic Media Machine

in #phone7 years ago (edited)

The Red just revealed its plans to release the Hydrogen One, a high-powered, unlocked Android smartphone with prices starting at around $1,195 for Aluminum, $1,595 for Titanium. Since it the world's first holographic media machine, what exactly is? Are you willing to pay $1200-$1600 for a phone?

The phone will pack a 5.7-inch holographic display capable of displaying in normal 2D media, stereo 3D stuff and RED's special "4-view content". No glasses or headset needed.

  • Play 2D content on the screen normally at full-screen resolution
  • Display holographic Red Hydrogen 4-View content in the H4V file type
  • Play stereo 3D files
  • Show 2D and 3D AR/VR and MR

Red says there's a special piece of code embedded that it calls the "H3O algorithm," which converts stereo sound into multi-dimensional audio.

Release Date: First Quarter 2018

I'll wait until you get yours :) actually i would never pay that much for a phone but it does look cool!

Yeah, but at $1,200, better if I buy another smart phone for half the price.

These models and similar have been laying around. When I worked for a major phone producer, they had this technology on display three years ago... most of this will roll out in US at same time as 5G. Which SK, to my knowledge is only place on earth testing and using it.

Exciting times right? Except porno business probably going to double at that point.
