„What can I believe in, if I can no longer believe in anything? In no salvation? In no one beyond? Aren't we not wandering through the cosmos like through an empty nothing? God is dead. God remains dead and behause er that, everything is shaking.“

But what should one who has lost God believe in? Nietzsche's message is as simple as it is radical:

Believe in yourself alone
Believe in your own
Hope for no salvation in the afterlife
Release yourself
Free yourself from all prevailing morals
Follow no ideology, no religion, no ruler

Follow yourself
Become who you are

When I recently saw the first episode of „The Confession tapes“ on Netflix, the (innocent) defendants' interest in Nietzsche was mentioned in one place.

Nietzsche - I was wondering. Sure heard of him but I don't really know what's behind it.

But thanks to Google, that's no problem.

And what I have found blowed my mind so hard! Does anyone of you know this feeling:

One wonders whether anyone else ever has or had the same ideas of right and wrong - has or had the same ideas about how to lead a life without feeling tied up. But - you can not put the feeling in words in its entirety.

After the first enthusiasm I read his central work: "And then came Zarathustra" I didn't only had - for the first time in my 29y of life - the feeling that someone could understand my basic morality and express it in words. No. Thoughts were thought further and are brought to an end.

The result is a guide to happiness for anyone who shares these views.

In the 19th century, Friedrich Nitzsche produced a philosophy that - reinterpretated in the current zeitgeist - is more relevant than ever before

A philospohy that inspired the masses at the end of the 19th century. After his death, his sister wrote the book „Der wille zur Macht“ based on his work - but totally twisted it. This book that was misinterpreted and instrumentalized by one single man to form the basis for the greatest crime in history, WWII

Even Wikipedia lists Nietzsche the author of that book - which is a shame, i think.

Furthermore, this is the first episode to the weekly series: Aphorism of the Day #1

Pain is something different than lust -
I mean, it is not the opposite.

- Friedrich Nietzsche
