Living In a world full of Humble people... what do you think might happen?

So I was watching one of YouTuber KSI's videos after he won his boxing championship. He got all cocky and egotistical all of a sudden and it got me thinking. Why is it that people "start sucking their own dick" when they reach success. What if we lived in a world full of humble people, how different would the world be?

Being humble isn't just about outwardly saying to people "Oh yeah man, I'm not that good. I don't know it all. There is a lot of people that are better than me" when inside of your head all that is going through your mind is "I'm the best! screw all these other guy!"

Being humble is about truly believing that you don't know everything about your field of work or the world, and actively seeking to learn more so you can keep excelling.

It's being INWARDLY humble that matter not the exterior. Like Aristotle says "The more you know, the more you don't know" or "You should know what you know. Know what you don't know. Don't know what you know. Don't know what you don't know." If all these great thinkers said these quotes then there must be something they know that we don't.

A story that will help elaborate this concept is from non other than the bible about Jesus Christ ordering two boys to do a certain task. One of them accepted saying yes, but never did it while the other refused saying no, but did the task. At the end, Jesus asked the people "Who has obeyed?"

You see, you don't have to be outwardly and inwardly humble at the same time. Micheal Jordan the MVP of the NBA, best basketball player of possibly all time was known for being one of the cockiest people you could ever meet!

You'd think that he would be the guy to never listen, however almost all his assistant couches would say "I have never seen someone listen so close to what the couches say and then go out and do it!"

Even Micheal himself says that he would listen to what the couches would say even if he thought it was wrong, maybe he'll learn something useful. He added that his greatest gift was "Being teachable".

If you had been paying close attention you'd see that being humble isn't again just about listening to others and admitting that you don't know it all. It's about using and implementing what you learn in the real world.

you might be thinking to yourself that " I'm a really humble person in action too Amr" but my friend let me tell you, the brain is a deceiving machine. It's because like Freud say "The pain of life is often too much for us humans to handle". That's why we use intoxicants, diverge from reality, and use reassurance even if they aren't true.

I think the reason that most people in the world are cocky is because of Trauma. At one point in your life as a kid, you didn't fear asking questions and admitting you're not a "know it all", however at some point in your life, someone out there used this "curiosity" against you either turning you down in your time of need or making fun of you.

Your brain has then associated pain with being humble causing a shift away from that behavior to avoid any future mischief's. We as humans might have technologically evolved, but out brains are still the same as our ancestors from 10,000 years ago; Moving towards reward and shifting away from pain.

There are certainly a lot of way that you can raise your humble factor. One of which is that you start by pinpointing what your average mathematical humble score is. Starting off with....

Reading:

ujiiui.jpg

how much do you read in general. Are you constantly learning from great minds out there. Reading non- fiction books that will change your life like "How to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie or "Evolutionary Psychology by Dr. David Buss".

How about biographies of successful people like Nelson Mandela, Helen Keller, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dali lama, or Mahatma Gandhi. You need to read more to wipe away one piece of ignorance from your life. It may not happen fast, but as Charlie Munger says "Step by step you get ahead, but not necessarily in first spurts".

Rate yourself out of 10 and please be honest with yourself.

Finding Mentors:

Are you actively seeking out mentors and great teachers in your work field of choice or in any sector of your life. How many people do you learn from out there.

It's crucial that you find teacher to help you get where you want to be in your life, but not just any teachers, the best of the best. Like sir Issac Newton says "If I have seen further than other, it's because I was standing upon the shoulders of giants" He said "Giants" not peasants.

The faster you understand that 9 out of 10 people have no idea what they're talking about, you'll start excelling faster in life, however when you do find that one person, clench to the with your teeth and sit down and listen to what they have to say.

Rate yourself out of 10 here as well.

Learning from the competitors:

"Keep you friends close, and your enemies closer"

Are you spending time learning from your competitors seeing if they know something you don't know?

NO?!... Well, Sam Walton founder of Walmart was on a vacation to Brazil after he was already one of the world's top CEO's achieving a personal net worth of 160 billion dollars!

He was arrested by the police and they had to contact his host family to bail him out. The officers explained to the family that they found this man crawling on the floors of a convenient store and they put him in jail for fear for the public's safety.

When asked what he was doing, his answer was simply remarkable! He said " I had a meter and was measuring the length of the alley-ways to see if these people knew something that I didn't!"

Isn't that insane! That guy was doing this when he was a billionaire and you've got people out there acting all cocky when they can't even pay their own bills like where does this confidence stem from! (not the good kind of confidence though)

How you spend your money:

How do you spend your money? Do you put it in things that appreciate in value like real estate, stocks, crypto-currencies, books or invest in yourself? or do you just spend it on things that RRD (Rust, Rot, and Depreciate) in value?

It's crucial that you spend your money on things that will help make your life better. It's ok of course to buy yourself electronics or clothes, but only do that when you have enough money to buy these things and invest in yourself at the same time.

If you literally have 2000 bucks. Don't go and blow it on a new iPhone and some clothes! Buy a course or a book that will help you make 2000 a week or a day, then buy the iPhone. Bottom line here is, invest in yourself and in things that go up in value.

Now that you have rated yourself out of 10 on all of these, I want you to add the numbers up and divide by 4, that is your REAL average humility in ACTION score.

If you're an average person your score would probably be 5 or 6. I can't tell you how important it is to get this to a 9 or even a 10. This score resembles and determines your quality of life because all of these factors when combined are like a catalyst to you getting the good life.

When you get it up, I promise you that you'll see your life change drastically to the better.

To conclude, I would like to thank you for reading. Now, you're one step closer to getting the good life :) Until I see y'all in the next post. Peace out!
