The Law Of Attraction
They say that if you believe, you will receive, ask the universe for what you want and your wish be granted . Now none of us know how or what the universe actually is so i can’t say for sure if this is fact or fiction but what i do believe without a doubt is, if you want something so bad then nothing will stand in your way until you have it.
I think pure determination, desire and belief is the key to achieving our goals.
I will give a few examples from my life.
When i started my electrical apprenticeship i had an overwhelming desire to one day be qualified and to work for myself as i wanted the freedom to work on my own terms. Two and a half years passed and i had 6 months left to go to complete my apprenticeship when all worked dried up and i was laid off post 2008 recession. I did not drive, i was not qualified and i couldn’t find any work in the industry as people were being let go at all companies, they just wasn’t taking on.
I was determined to achieve my goal of being my own boss regardless of my circumstances. The next hurdle i faced was a difficult one, twice i failed my practical exam and it was really disheartening but i ploughed on because i had that end goal in sight. To my delight on the 3rd attempt i passed the exam and completed my apprenticeship.
Now i was a qualified electrician but i did not drive and had no income. I found work with a friend doing bits of gardening work which wasn’t very well paid but it kept me going. I then fell lucky, one of my friends relatives wanted her house rewiring and i got the job, it was only around the corner from my house so i didn’t need transport. I completed the rewire and with the funds i passed my driving test, bought an old van, testing equipment and got myself accredited with the electrical governing body who accessed me to make sure i was competent. I did all this within 2 months of completing the rewire. I was my own boss at the age of 22 and i had achieved my goal.
In my opinion, my determination, desire and unwavering belief is the reason i achieved my goal, where many may have given up.
