RE: ADSactly Philosophy: The Plague That Is in Us (About the novel The Plague by Albert Camus
Beautiful, meaningful, complete and relevant work, @josemalavem. These days I was just commenting on the validity of this novel at this time. It should not be surprising how some novels, have anticipated some facts and have shown us that the future was always in the books. Hence, for example, 1984, A Happy World, An Essay on Blindness, is being re-read in the light of these times. One of the things proposed in The Plague is solidarity, a value so far removed from our reality. The coronavirus is so infernal, that it even isolates us from our loved ones and condemns us to die without any show of affection or solidarity. There are some texts that are timeless. Thank you for your work, @josemalavem. Greetings
Thank you, @nancybriti, for your kindness and valuable feedback. Yes, The Plague, among other novels, acquires greater significance with the passage of time; unfortunately it occurs because of the authoritarian and destructive drift of the human being. Greetings.
