I think fate is multi-layered. Because we're always partly at the mercy of our biological form and health, there is an even great responsibility for us to control the things we can and accept the things we cannot.
Thank you for the comment @monoglyph. Yes, we are partly determined by our biological conditions. But when it comes to recognizing our limits, I think we can always push biology, maybe to an extent it may seem impossible at first. Our will is beyond any pre determination, either from nature or nurture. That is what I came to believe...
