Eye of the Beholder: acrylic on canvas painting
Inspired by the Helix Nebula, this painting is meant to express the relation between the micro and macrocosm. We are small in relation to the grand but giant in relation to the tiny! The part (micro) is a reflection of the whole (macro) and vice versa. If you look into someone's eyes, you can see swirls of nebulous light, reminiscent of a vision from space. Looking at the helix nebula, I am reminded of the connection we all hold to each other and to the reality that surrounds us.
