IS THIS LIFE ANOTHER DREAM?

This reality is full of mystery. Everyone has their own theories and ideas about it. No one can be disproved though until science does so. I am a computer scientist, but I also am very into spirituality and idea of enlightenment and non-dualism and pretty much anything that has to do with the nature of reality. The simulation theory is probably one of my favorites to think and ponder on. Trying to conceptualize of hyperspace and all of these theories and ideas is daunting, but probably my favorite thing to do. I'm not going to go into all these theories though, but just briefly tell one of my own that is kind of out there and not necessarily one that I believe, but one that I think about a lot and realize I can never truly know, at least as of now. So, the idea is pretty much that this life is a dream. I know that this idea has been bounced around a lot by many people and the reason I think about it so much is because it is very interesting. What if our consciousness is just ported here from some source location. And then when we go to sleep at night and "dream", we are really experiencing another life and our consciousness is beamed to that location/dimension. These are just the other versions of ourselves that are being lived through, but we can't remember it all, so we think that the life we live in is base reality and those are the dreams, but what if when we are in the dreams, that's how we think of this life, as just a fading memory that was a dream at one point. But then when we go back into it, we remember exactly how life was just as we do every morning when we wake up here. Now, obviously when you are lucid dreaming you can control the dream. That would mean that this theory isn't really likely because your mind is the one that's ultimately in control. But what if in this life we are able to become lucid, but it's just really hard to and that's what enlightened people are or people on psychedelics having enlightenment experiences are just lucid in the dream, but on the outside they are just regular people acting weird. I don't know, this is kind of confusing the way that I am writing it. But I just thought I would quickly share these ideas. I don't really believe this to be true, but I'm not really doubting it either. There is much outside of the spectrum/boundaries of the human existence and it would be arrogant to say that I know shit that I can't possibly know because it's outside my boundaries. We have five senses available to us, but what if there are layers of reality that can't be interpreted by the human machinery. I honestly find that more likely than for humans to have adapted perfectly and understand everything about reality. I think we can only really understand reality in terms of what the human condition is allowing us to understand. And with that being said. I claim to know much less than I thought I did when I was younger. I realize that I really don't know much on the cosmic scale of everything. That is the beauty and great feeling that pushes me towards the interest in being enlightened and to learn and open my mind more. Thanks for reading if you made it this far. I just like to write down my thoughts even if they are nonsense. This is not a PhD paper that is claiming to be the one true gospel. Nah it's just some young guy thinking about stuff. That's all humans are doing anyways. We are all just dudes and gals thinking stuff. That's it. BYE
