The Courage to Walk the Talk
The truth WILL NOT set you free! It will first reveal to you the walls of the thought-cage in which your peers have imprisoned you; then it will shackle and bind you in frustration and bitterness; and it will subject you to ridicule and degradation and humiliation...
Finally, it will doom you to a solitary confinement in which you are wholly alone with your visions of what could be.
And should you still find a way to voice your truth despite all of this torment it will more likely lead you to insanity, the cross, or the pyre - or at the very least, a witness to the dilution and perversion of all that you really wanted to convey.
Furthermore, should you dedicate your life to the death of stagnation by claiming perpetual fluidity your dealings with others will always be of the nature of walking on eggshells.
People, at different periods, for reasons of their own, will naturally find you charismatic and gravitate to you - because you reflect back to them both where they are at and the very next step they should take in order to further evolve.
But, that traverse is as far as they are capable of travelling. Once they realize that you are a bridge and not a hovel they must out of necessity abandon any allegiance to you...for two reasons:
Firstly, out of pragmatism, in that you are no longer of any use to them given that you have already provided the necessary stimulus to propel them forward;
Secondly, out of envy, given that they are unable to enjoy the same freedom of movement - physical and psychological as are you - and so they come to despise your fluid perpetuity in the face of their welcomed stagnation.
This leaves you, the change-maker, the self-propelled wheel, the death-dealer and life-sower in a quandary: how to love them enough to facilitate their redemption, whilst despising their habits so that you become neither too attached to their transient admiration of you, nor to their lifestyles which by default breed suffering and sickness?
So no, THE TRUTH WILL NOT SET YOU FREE.
In time, it will set others free; but you will likely be too long dead to enjoy the fruits of your sacrifice.
Given this, who amongst you truly has the courage to seek the truth???
