You have already heard the phrase “Life is not fair”…. welp, it’s true. Some people are born faster, stronger, better looking, smooth talkers, the list goes on and on. We all enter into this world with unique GIFT(S) that we can leverage to excel at various endeavors; however, these gifts do not guarantee SUCCESS (and definitely does not guarantee continued success). It is a common misconception that those with talent will always be the most TALENTED; this, my friends, is where the OPPORTUNITY lives. Combine hard work and consistency with time and your abilities will outshine even the most talented of competition.

CLOSING THE GAP
Should you ever find yourself in a competition (of any sort) with an opponent that is more skilled than you preparation is ABSOLUTELY paramount. In order to ensure success you must improve at a greater rate than your completion is improving. Because you are the UNDERDOG in this situation you have the ELEMENT OF SURPRISEon your side. While you are taking the necessary preparations your competition may be caught off guard by the progress you make. If you are able to dedicate the time and effort necessary you can force progress to happen.

THE SATISFACTION OF “THE UPSET
Winning feels good. WINNING WHEN NO ONE THINKS YOU WILL IS BETTER. There is nothing better for your esteem than achieving success against all odds. Use other’s doubt and lack of confidence in you are fire that propels you forward.
NOTE: This advice does not apply to physical attributes that cannot be improved (I.e. height, bone structure, blah blah blah).

THINK WELL. ACHIEVE MORE. LIVE BETTER.

My articles are typically more business and achievement oriented. But in the broader sense, yes, I agree.

Yes sir, great post. Keep grinding and keep steemin'.

Thank you, and I most definitely will!

With the amount of competition in today's world there is a finite amount of success one can find. Hard work is a pre-requisite, not the differentiator. In this world luck and talent have noticeable effects on success. Sure if you work harder than someone with talent then you may "beat" or become more successful than them. But if they work hard... well good luck. Everyone thinks hard work is the be all and end all, but it's not. Our lives are determined just as much by chance than our own doing. I'm not saying don't work hard. I'm just saying hard work can't get you anywhere, it takes a little more than that.

@cryptoreports Everyone can't be an Astronaut or Center for the Lakers (for that I agree). I am a realist and I know there are certain examples where most of us are simply screwed. BUUUUUUUUT, I (personally) like to have the mentality that I can achieve anything (even if I know the odds are against me...yes, I lie to myself on purpose). I am not always successful in achieving my goals; however, I am sometimes extremely surprised at some of the progress I make when I apply myself 100% (i.e. I want to be a millionaire by 30. I am currently not a millionaire at 26 and I have a ways to go; however, I did double my income in 2 year). I'll take it! Perhaps this only applies to me personally, but I tend to thrive when I am totally committed and believe I can get what I want. I'll admit, its an aggressive mindset... but that just my style.
