Why I Think Most Things Government are Not for OUR Benefit

There are plenty of examples to demonstrate that any government's primary goal, just like any human, is to survive. And to survive, a government has to continually extend its power and scope and influence, and do a great job persuading its people they need Uncle Sam to survive.

Even when they blatantly DO NOT CARE!

Case in point, especially for those clamoring for UBI (Universal Basic Income), just ponder for a moment on this FACT:

"... did you know that the government, and specifically law enforcement, does not have any duty to protect the general public? Based on the headline and this information, you might assume this is a new, landmark decision. However, it has long been the court’s stance that, essentially, the American people are responsible for taking case of their own personal safety."

Reflect on that last sentence and let it sink in: the American people are responsible for taking case of their own personal safety.

And you may think this is a new thing... it's not, in "1981, a federal court of appeals found the same lack of responsibility."

Couple that with the variety of videos of police brutality, and the recent unwillingness of Florida police to enter the schoolyard while the shooter was live, and you start to get a picture.

This isn't to say that all police officers are ill-intentioned, nor all politicians, though I personally suspect a large number of them are, or have become so.

To me, however, it does show the careless trend that government officials show once they're in office. They line their pockets, and those of their friends, and make us pay for it. Case in point, municipal and city bonds, and all the other ways they give taxpayer money away to big corporations.

Furthermore, if the government is not responsible for our safety... and they want to take our 2nd Amendment away, how do they expect us to defend ourselves?

Just like they didn't care what we said about the bailouts which only benefited the banks, and for which no one got in trouble, even though Obama did his little theater bit on TV.

How much more does it take for us to realize that the people in government do not represent us, and that they're the exact same as the monarchy we thought we overthrew way back when. The only difference is they give us a horse and pony show and being elected. Have you tried being elected without being part of the in-crowd? Some of our friends did, and we know what they went through.

Let's face it, they control the mainstream media, and have used it for a long time to tell us what to think, who to hate, who to vote for, what to buy.

They control the food supply, and if you don't comply or compete with Big Agro, there comes the Dept. of Agriculture to shut you down... Organic farms?

They write legislation to "protect us" from competing with their Big Campaign Contributors.

That is the way of governments. Just ponder for a moment what kind of person it takes to want to use force or threat of force to get you to comply. Pay my taxes or go to jail. But you have no say in those taxes, how much or what for. Follow my speed limits or go to jail, but you also do not get a say in how fast.

You have to have license to drive, to get married, in some cases, even to work (aka make tax money for the government), and you can't even own your own house (just try not paying property taxes and see how much you own the home).

But, it's OK, it's all for our own good! They know best. They hire experts to tell us how best to live our lives.

So, how much longer? How much more insult are we going to take? How much more are we going to let them take away from us?

Without us... they have nothing! A machine without the cogwheels. We are the fuel, and the oil. We are the ones who produce something of value, of which they are parasites.

How often do we interact with government? Do we really need them?

I think the blockchain will show that we don't, and that we'll be much better without them when they go the way of the dodo... just like banks.

I know this sounds extreme, but I believe that in the next 10 or 20 years, you and I won't recognize the landscape! It's up to us to shape that future... with, or without overlords.
