The illusions

They give you water, so you don't stop pulling the carriage,
where they sit comfortably and safely.
They gave a gun, to startle those who approach you,
so you can keep on pulling their carriage feeling "safe".

They stop to brush your hair
They stop to change your clothes
To prevent opposition due to neglect
To increase the feels of being needed

They motivate you verbally, so you don't feel underestimated
To pull you closer, and feed you more crap.
To make you think they're the ones that save you,
Though they are the ones that drain you.

I wrote this little piece last night while thinking about "toxic" relationships and generally people who "care" but only because they care about themselves. I hope some of you will like it, and those who got caught by them toxic people, will realise their "horse" role in the relation/friend ship.
I think you could also apply to the government nowadays, you know when they "reward" you for "hard work", when in the end you just make them richer.
