If there is a God, why do so many bad things happen? @ecotrain QOTW

Before I get started, I’m expecting that some will not agree with me and I respect it. It’s not my intention to hurt and triggered the feelings of others. The things that I’m going to mention are my beliefs and I hope that everybody will respect it as well. I’m not forcing my belief to anyone; I just want to share my thoughts about it. May we all have the peace, harmony, and understandings despite our differences.
The question above is also like asking, “Why does God allow the bad things to happen?”. Is God to blame for human suffering? The Bible provides answers to it. It is written in James 1:13, “When under trial, let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God.’ For with evil things God cannot be tried, nor does He Himself try anyone.”
I do believe that problems can make us stronger and wiser, but I can’t accept that these problems were made by God to test us.
Just think of it, did God created landslides, flash floods, and global warming? It is not God who created these things, it is us who made it.
There will be no landslides and flash floods if there are enough trees to hold the soil and absorb the waters from a heavy rain. The illegal loggers are cutting down trees for the sake of business and making more money without thinking the harmful effects that it could bring. There will be no Global warming if we are not polluting the air. Deforestation and burning of fossil fuels like coal and gas to create electricity and to power up the cars will release CO2 in the atmosphere.
How about the wars and several crimes such as theft, harassment, murder, kidnapping, and rape (and many more)? Are bad people created by God? Does God manipulate our mind to kill each other?
God created us with a complete freedom to think and decide for ourselves including the Angels. There is an Angel who questioned the God’s sovereignty. He doubted if God is capable to be the ruler, and instead of being mad and perish this Angel, God let him prove his accusation.
This Angel started to brainwash the other Angels to rebel against God. These rebellious Angels were expelled from Heaven, so where did they go? They are here on Earth, messing up with people just like what they did to Adam and Eve. They want us to think that God is behind all of our sufferings, they want us to think that God never cared.
1 John 5:19 revealed who is currently manipulating the world, “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one”. I am not surprised by the horrible things that are happening around me because it is not God ruling this world, not yet.
The rebellious Angels were not able to prove their accusation because the world became in the worst situation since they took it over. Knowing that they are running out of time, they will do everything to make us believe that God never exists and He is just a part of some old stories.
The Judgment Day will come and no one knows the exact date of Armageddon, so does God forget us? If He really cares, then why does He still allow these bad things to happen? Why does God is not putting end to our sufferings?
2 Peter 3:9 answered it already, “He is not slow concerning his promise, as some people consider slowness, but He is patient with you because He does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance”.
Philosophy in life worth pondering:

Question, my dear friend. If none of the evil is God's fault, do you at least acknowledge that all the evil is done...is only performed if God says it's okay?
Good day sir @johndoer123. Pardon me sir and please correct me if I misunderstood your question. As how I understand it, you are asking if all the evil things that happened are because God says it's okay?
Saying "it's okay" and "allowing things" to happen are both different.
Saying "it's okay" even if it's evil will also mean that God agree with evil works. He is the God of love and He will never like any trace of evilness.
On the other hand, "allowing things" to happen doesn't mean that God agree in whatever we do especially if it's evil.
He is not yet putting an end to our wrongdoings because He is patient with us, He desires all to repentance.
Allowing things to happen is different from approving things to happen.
For example, a parent will allow his children to play with their toys and mess it around in the living room. Allowing then doesn't mean that the parent is please with all the mess. He just love his children that he still giving them time to play and mess around.
And just like in real life, time will come when it's times up. The parent will clean the mess and take his children to shower to clean them up.
God will also do the same, He still giving us the freedom to do what we want. But time will come when the times up. He will act in the end, to end the sufferings.

In the book of Job, Satan is not allowed to perform any evil(here on Earth) without God first granting permission to him to do so. And God does grant that permission. Job is then tormented several ways by Satan, with God's permission. All this torment is done for God to prove a point to Satan. In context to your above mentioned analogy, to me, that is like a parent(God) allowing an evil person to hurt their children...just to see if the child will still love the parent....your thoughts?
Greetings sir @johndoer123. Job was a rich man who's very faithful to God. Satan raised another accusation to this part, he said that Job is only faithful because Job has everything in life and once Job lost everything, he will hate God.
And noticed that God told Satan to do everything but never kill Job. Job lost his children and he got very sick, but in end, he is still faithful to God. And Satan was proved wrong in his own accusation.
I guess the most appropriate term to use is allowing instead of permitting.
Allowing (allow) is letting things to happen even if you are not please to see it.
Permitting (permission) is letting things to happen because you are please to see it.
Job's case is still happening to us. Satan is still messing up with people, he will do everything to make us hate God.
And soon, Satan's time will be over.

To give you an example on 9/11 there were people cheering with joy in Arab countries (where many Arabs have been killed by US bombs) while there were people crying in America. One group called 9/11 good and the other group called it bad. So, who is right?
In fact there is no right or wrong. Only perspective.
If it had not been for the 2nd World War my father wouldn't have met my mother, so while I don't think violence is ever the solution, I cannot put these kind of labels on an event which led to my birth. By the way he was an american soldier posted in the Philippines!
When we look deep into ourselves we see that we all have the power to change our perspective and find the positive aspects of ALL the events in our lives :)
I agree with what you are saying here @samstonehill. But one thing has to be mentioned. The only reason we 'know' that people were cheering with joy in Arab countries, is because the mainstream media showed it to us. Portray them as savages who cheer when thousands of people die. And I don't doubt that some people, like extremists, would feel joyful in such cases, but the majority would not. Americans might have cheered when Bin Laden was supposedly found and killed, but would they also have cheered if the whole town would have been burned down? I don't think so. I'm a little disappointed that not more people can see propaganda for what it is. Make the people in those countries look bad by showing footage of people cheering and dancing on the streets, will surely do the trick. And it did. Divide and conquer. The oldest trick in the book. Westerners hate Islam, probably more than Islamic people hate us. Because of those videos. They seldom portray truth. Think about it, there are so many of them, if they truly hated us so much, we wouldn't be here...

Excellent message I loved ... I have learned over time that God is sovereign and of great divine providence, but there is something inviolable that is human responsibility, we are totally responsible for our actions.
Now many wonder why these things happen, the answer is in us, as it is written, Because ALL men sinned and are destitute of the glory of God ...

This is a great and daring topic to open up. I agree with your perspective. The thing is when God saw the predicament of mankind He sent His Son. Emmanuel, to die for us, to completely bare our sin, transgressions, sicknesses and diseases in His Own Body. If all of mankind would take advantage of God’s solution, we would even take better care of our planet and the mudslides , as you pointed out, would not happen.
If we were all following God’s commands, no killing, theft, adultery, fornication, idolatry, coveting. There is suffering because of the fallen condition of mankind. The solution, Jesus Christ, through the rebirth. Every true conversion results in one less person hurting others.
Many things also continue to happen because good people do nothing. If we would all do our part we can each incrementally make the world a better, more prosper, safer place. We can put our love, talents, energy and time to ease the pain and suffering of our fellow man.
This is the Golden Rule. “Do to others, the way you want them to do to you! Treat people the way you want to be treated. If you see someone hungry, naked, homeless, sick. What would you want people to do for you if you were in these conditions?
There is our answer!
