How do we handle information, what is an ethical miracle?
People know very well what is going on in the world thanks to new technology capabilities. They are informed and have enough data but this does not surprise us for they are living in a world of social knowledge, thus can be said that if they say "i do not know something" we can be assured they are not telling the truth for that fact that they don't know something, would be simply unbefitting. Yet there is still something that the people vigorously do not what to know. How is that even possible in the day of age???
I assume it is possible due to the contemporary, very effective ideological practices and the human capabilities to blind themselves to the things which are the most indisputable things, regardless whether they are so called enlightened or have great personal growth. The ones who represent these practices know this very well for they study psychology and humanistic science, thus their practices work in a way that the people have the information - data available 24/7, day in and day out. Yet there is something different about these massive amounts of data out there. Everything is carefully selected and packed in a way that is incredibly easy to overlook or even have a cynical distance to it.
Thus we can say that every data is foreseen so that the people do not have to consider some data seriously and is simply ignored, even thou the data is in their faces, they do not see the implication or even meaning of it therefore forgotten in a matter or moments. Only when this distance drops we can read things just like we were supposed to, then suddenly we see something in people change, a massive turnaround so to say, the people simply behave in a way like they awoke from their dreams into reality.
People otherwise know that the families are not perfect and they don't even have the requisite to be, everyone is only human - we all make mistakes, and often they don't have a clue on how to raise their children in a way consistent with values. It is an entirely different view point when try to see things for yourself which might happen if one would broadcast hidden cameras of a real family in real life 24/7. That would be a true reality show without comparison, yet what we see on television is just a pretence of a life filled with excrement. Sorry for the vulgar language, but the truth is harsh.
When we would see the real picture the illusions would fall like domino pieces. Being fair means being honest and face with antinomy of the world and reason itself. But in front of everyone the "real life" is the complete opposite, thus no longer what you say or what you tell in the end. Even less important is what you think for no one is really listening to you, and if someone is actually listening it is most likely that you are not even being taken seriously. In the extremely rare cases when you actually are taken seriously, one is often then reminded the "fact" that it is not worth to think about things because: "thinking leads nowhere."
I added this picture because i find it very funny and not because i think that animals are stupid.
When a human suggests something serious for instance a revolution (just an example), people mostly (not everyone) spontaneously fall into a deep state of laughter and the one who suggested it is remarkably fast branded as a complete and utter nutcase, a lunatic who only dreams, or is even on some special mushrooms. Today it is seen like in everyday life nothing can be changed, not one thing if the people such as editors and the higher ups do not approve of, thus every change is permitted only in within the given circles which are not threatening to them.
We can often see that the people censure themselves and call upon the reason of the now and the empirical dimensions of life, old knowledge, tradition and authority. They claim that nothing can be changes and this "makes" them free to indulge themselves in the vast variety of pleasures only to catch the moments which often pass bay way to fast. Some might even think that they are smart when trying to convince others to join them, to enjoy life and do only that while they still can, while everything else is a shout in the cosmos - the nihilistic mentality of carpe diem.
While in truth more than moments passes us bay, something much more important. Time. Time passes us by with every disregard, even if we don't take a single thing seriously. Everyone knows well how liberating the experience is when we do not have to pretend anymore, no more games, a time when we no longer need to be cynical and so on. But the most impotrant thing is that we ourselves put these limits on us and see things such as they are without anyone else telling us how to see things.
But this will only happen if we are willing. Until then we quietly accept day to day violence and stupidity that is offered by the mass media, we even take on the repercussions of utterly mad actions for which the corporations in the name of freedom of market and capitol take. Meanwhile we blame each other and criticise for each and every small and completely unimportant details.
The everyday practises change with our help which is for the individuals unacceptable. This is not something that should happen often, rather very rare or not at all, because humans are perishable and we don't always endure when they have to, we tend to crumble under pressure. It should not be accepted that humans change the life of the society just for the sake of change, rather than just being good or evil.
For anything to be considered normal, it would mean that humans in the middle of everyday assumption of normality would suddenly fell that the want to do something, that he (human) simply does not want to participate any longer, even if that something is accepted as normal. We can call this an ethical miracle, a phrase used by Slavoj Žižek.
Ethical miracles happen because they can, and the best part of this is that they are caused by ordinary people. In some radical thinking we can say that these miracles don't really exist, not until ordinary people decide to do something, meaning that as long as we do our part, we can change everything.
It is no wonder that we can talk about the moral cowardice of humans in this day of age. Not trying or even wanting to insult anyone, far from it. I want to encourage everyone into seeing things for themselves and seriously think about it.
Depression can be can taken as sewn into the everyday structures of lives, thus it is not a sickness of this or other humans. Depression is a accumulation of several pressures that the individual must not rise above the given circles of life, there should not be an exception for it is of the utmost dangerous.
With this kind of thinking we spread wide open the doors of depressive or better said moral cowardly behaviour of people because they themselves put pressure on each other and hinder in order to stop in making a ethical miracle. Yet these miracles happen, and will continue to happen in the future. This is not something that can be said: "will it or will it not happen", we can be assured that this can happen anywhere.
