Where are you from?

This is for me such an annoying question!  Maybe the reason for being so annoyed with a "common" question is the perspective I have obtained. 

Where are you from?   

You can answer this question in two manners and because of this WHEN I am asked this question; I wonder if I should answer in the "general" manner or apply my philosophical views and just answer "earth".

The philosophical view that I have obtained tells me that "nationalities" is the gate-way towards racism. The moment you CLING to a small piece on the map and identify yourself PRIMARILY as someone living in that region then you limit yourself. In a way you chain yourself to a piece of land; you can no longer imagine being anywhere else; you see anyone arriving after you as a threat.

What I write is not true for everyone BUT if you stop calling yourself by a nationality and label yourself simply as "human" or "earthling" then at least you are one step closer to peace.
