Does Good Understanding Means You Are Intelligent Or The Opposite? 📚 💭

Different 'Types' Of Knowledge

I believe that there are two ways to know; I feel there is knowledge that we name knowledge, and I believe there is knowledge that we call understanding.

Someone may have little to no knowledge, however, be very understanding; on the other hand, somebody may also be terribly knowledgeable but not very understanding. The mistake I feel we tend to form is presuming ignorant people are less understanding than those who are more intelligent.

Do We Have It All Wrong?

The argument for our assumption is ignorant people have a larger tendency to discriminate against people, who are biologically different than intelligent people do.

Even though I could agree intelligent people tend to support policies that promote equal treatment of all classes, their associations haven't got any greater diversity than the associations of those that are thought of as less intelligent.

Ignorant people tend to vocalise their prejudices; however, intelligent individuals although they have a large tendency to be socially polite, they have no larger affinity towards people, who are different, than anyone else.

Our Untapped Potential

I believe the capability to understand is not relative to a person's degree of intelligence. I feel understanding does not come with the ability to know but with the ability to identify.

The intelligent person may recognise it isn't socially advantageous to discriminate against different classes of people, without having the capability to identify with them.

Despite the fact that he is aware of the fact that social harmony is crucial to the functioning of society, it doesn't mean that he is exempt from the limitations of his capacity to empathise. Knowing something doesn't mean we identify with it, and not having the ability to identify with it is not being able to understand it truly.

Sort:

''intelligent individuals although they have a large tendency to be socially polite, they have no larger affinity towards people, who are different, than anyone else''

I totally agree mate... Educated people believe having an opinion is having a character and as nice as they could be they just believe in their own lies. Which causes society problems and I guess, that's what created the actual society. Greed, need to succeed by showing wealth to the neighbours...
