Christian Rosenkreuz or Christian Rose Cross is an allegorical figure attributed with the founding of the famous Rosicrucian Order. Rosicrucianism is an esoteric order that arose in the early 17th century in Europe and is based on several texts that purport the existence of an unknown order that is built upon ancient esoteric truths regarding insight into nature, the physical universe, and the spiritual realm.
