I can totally relate to you feeling better with less stuff. I remember when I left England and gave my car away, it was such a relief not to be responsible for such a big and expensive item any longer. My mother couldn't understand as she sees a car as freedom. Now I live in a country with great public transport so there's almost no reason to have one.
And when it comes to the other kinds of stuff, it's amazing what you don't miss once you've got rid of it. I bet you can't even remember most of what you gave away. :D
