Philippines became independent after waging war with uncanny foreign invaders. Rich in natural resources like agriculture and livestock, this country has not been out of the eyes of neighboring countries.

Hence of its bloody and brutal history, Philippines became one of the most destined tourist spots by many. From North to South, Philippines has its culture, traditions and spectacular views that in other tropical country have. And when you're here, you are consider as their family member.
With vast array of cultural and traditional beliefs, Philippines is centered in Catholicism and Islam. Faith is one of their holdings in everyday lives. Respectful to others. Hospitable to strangers. These are some of those traits a Filipino have and these are passed on generations to generations.
Politics is in fire within Philippine government. With Kamay-na-Bakal (metal fist) President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, a former mayor of Davao City, pledge to end crime, drugs and corruption. And this so called "change" is new to Filipino citizens. Some likes it and some don't want it. Which is which, he became popular with his rightful doing since he sitted through the whole world.
Philippines is really a promising country. South East Asia experience will not be as good as it can be without visiting Philippines.

Hello. I would just like to say that it is Visayas and not Visay. Aside from Catholicism and Islam, there are also a lot of protestants (which is composed of millions of people or more than the number of people practicing islam).

Thank you for noticing such typo.
However, in religion concern we stick for the fact that the "first" religion establish were only Catholicism (major religion) and Islam (comes at second).
Ah yeah Islam being established in the 13th and 14th century while Roman Catholicism only in 16th century.
Its not the country thats amazing, its the people. So many happy memories in years gone by of some incredible travelling adventures and the life long friends I made.
