Celebrity Hunting Diaries 40: Alodia Gosiengfiao

Hello Steemians, it’s @redpretender. Thanks for tuning in for Celebrity Hunting Diaries. I’ll be sharing my optional hunt: To catch and take pictures with Alodia Gosiengfiao. She’s a famous cosplayer and vlogger from the Philippines. This hunt was an intense hunt even that was optional. Sit back and relax. Enjoy.

Mountain Wing Atrium, SM Seaside City Cebu

2 weeks after a perfect encounter with Roxanne Barcelo. I will move on to my optional challenge: to catch and take pictures with the famous Cosplayer, Alodia Gosiengfiao. Why optional? It’s because I’m not sure if I’m given a chance to capture her. Hehe…:D I already found a source from Alodia’s Fan Page shared by SM Seaside’s Page from Facebook few days after the encounter with Roxanne. The first time I saw Alodia was last 2015. But I failed to capture the moment. I was thinking if I will try this or not. That would depend on my mood. About almost a week before the event, another source from SM Seaside’s Page that the registration was P1,500 worth of receipt from the Tech Fair from August 2 to 6. 100 customers only for a backstage meet and greet for Alodia’s appearance in August 6. I said “WHAT? It’s so expensive.” Then my initial plan was to save P1, 500 from my pay until August 2 and go early on August 6 to wait for the event. Until a notice from my LOJ Production group that we have a fellowship and meeting in August 6 in the afternoon. That’s where I change my plan that on the event, I will just watch maybe because I will not make it anymore. At the day of the event at August 6, I came around 4:20PM. I just catch up Alodia on the stage already. I still made it. I thought I was late. That part, I’ll just watch and look around the venue as well to check security measures. Then after Alodia’s interview, she’s having a Meet and Greet session. And the host said that there are still 5 slots for the Meet and Greet. I said “What? I just wasted my money already. I thought I can’t make it.” That part, I regret that I did not prepare money because I thought I can’t make it. And my mood was so down. Meanwhile, I’m thinking if I will try this or not. For me, I will not. But my other side, I will try even if this was just optional. At the end, I did try. Since I decided to try this out, my first strategy is to go to the barricades of the backstage. First at the right barricade and there’s many people already waiting and I can’t make it on the wall because it’s already crowded with people while Alodia still at the right barricade. I almost get closer. Still not make it. Then she moves to the left barricade. Still can’t make it because of crowded people waiting. Then I leave the barricades and think another strategy. That was several minutes later, the Meet and Greet line was almost over. And that’s where I need to think fast. I said to myself “What now, the line is almost over and that is the last batch. Think Red. Think.” Then luckily, I found an unknown person who carries an extra entry pass of the event after that person take pictures with Alodia. And I asked a favor that I will borrow the entry pass. Then the unknown person said that “It’s all yours.” And now, I’m going in for good and do the secret agent moves. When I’m on my way to the Meet and Greet line, I just go inside silently, show the entry pass and went to the meet and greet line. While on the line, just be calm and don’t be obvious. When I’m almost there at the backstage, I stay silent and prepare my Nokia C3-01 camera. Now, it’s time for my turn. I give my camera to the assistant to take pictures with Alodia. But unfortunately, the shot was blurred. Damn. I will not post it here later for your info. Lol…:D After that, I was thinking that I will go back inside the backstage again. So I did. I use the left barricade beside the elevator to go inside again and show my entry pass. Now I’m back inside. This time, I’ll do my one way ticket rush selfie with Alodia before the group picture happens. I’m not here for group pictures. Lol…:D Finally, I got a better picture with Alodia. Phew! After that, I leave the backstage and go away. I never thought that I can still make it without paying anything. I can’t really believe on what I’m doing. Optional Mission Complete. I finally captured Alodia with just a fluke. Secret agent moves as usual.
