WEDDING is a GIFT (Kasalang Bayan on Valentine's Day, 2018)
Yesterday, as the world celebrates the Valentine's Day, we held the yearly Kasalang Bayan given by our local government.
This year, around 121 couples got married on Valentine's day. The ceremony was conducted by our city Mayor, honorable Mr. Rolen Paulino, and his colleagues.
As my choir, PASE VOCI is a part of the government scholars, we were invited to be the wedding singers at the ceremony. I instantly agreed because it has always been my dream to also be a wedding singer. I took this opportunity because I am a fan of a wedding and I wanted to be a part of their ceremony. I want to be a part of the most memorable day of the couples, their wedding.
At the procession, I sang "MAKE YOU FEEL MY LOVE" by Adele. I chose this song because it is the closest to my heart. This song represents every person's depth of love towards their partners.

After the procession, the wedding rites were lead by Mayor Rolen. As they exchange vows, it brought tears to my eyes because I can see these passionate couples being devoured by so much happiness on their wedding day.
The couples were also given gifts sponsored by SM Olongapo, Zambales first district governor, Mr. Jeffrey Konghun, other officials and sponsors.

I am happy for the couples who got married yesterday. Finally, they are now legally married to their loved ones.
A wedding is a gift. It is just the beginning of their journey through a lifelong love and commitment. May these couples live happily together and stay strong all the time. May they uphold their vows, "in sickness and in health, for rich and for poor, in joy and in sorrow, till death do us part".
I am also waiting for my wedding day someday. But for now, we have to focus on our studies to have a better future and establish ourselves before getting married.
Truly this event made their wishes came true.

Side note: If you are in Olongapo area and you know an upcoming wedding ceremony, let me know. I want to sing for them hahaha! (I'm partially kidding)
