Equality vs. Equity - Which to choose?

Equality? Equity?

What is which? Which is better?

Equality is providing the same treatment, effort, things, perception and all towards someone or something. Whilst Equity is providing what is needed and appropriate to make eveyone or eveyrthing equal.

On my own opinion, equality is good (I swear!) but Equity is better. In every situation or event, there is always, always something better. Better in a sense that we need to learn and discover what or which better more than what we think or believe in. We have to expand our minds and understanding.

We have to understand that each and every individual are of different traits, charactieristics, attitude and personalities. Even twins have their own individualities. Even fingerprint is never the same with one another. Some has more, some has less, some needs more, some needs less. Having said that, we have to discern that one may work for something or someone but may not work on another. We have all different approaches and capabilities. We should always remember that to inspire and help others is not simply by giving the same to everyone but to know well each individual and give the best appropriate help one can give. Equality is doable but equity takes more than that as equity works hand in hand with empathy and flexibility. It is through seeing more than eyes can see, hearing more than ears can hear and feeling more than heart can feel. It requires deeper understanding and discernment.

Both are ways to create fairness but fairness is not only being us fair with everyone but making every one fair to everyone else and fair to ourselves.

Keep on helping and inspiring! Either way, as long as it's genuine and from the heart, that should be good. At some way or another, at some point or another, we can be a blessing to someone. :)
