The most anticipated event of the year for the people of Cebu is just around the corner! We are about to celebrate the Sinulog Festival 2018. Sinulog is known to be the grandest, oldest and most vivid festival celebrated in the Philippines. It is held once a year on the third Sunday of January to give honor to our patron Sr. Sto. Nino. Colorful parades of Filipino Celebrities, street dance, pageantry and tribal dance competition are the activities expected.

We are doing our best to make it happen that steemph.cebu will join this biggest cultural and religious festival in the country. It is one way for us to promote steemit to the community since it's very engaging due to mass of audience of the event. In preparation, earlier today we were able to talk to the "KABALIKAT Civic Communicators, Philippines Inc." to coordinate with them in securing our location where we can put a booth to for the said event. With the great help of our dear friend Jayciel Gonzalve also known as @thefairlady on steemit, we were able to meet the officers of the said organization and talked about the memorandum of agreement and things that each party can contribute.

WHAT IS "KABALIKAT Civic Communicators, Philippines Inc.?

It's a non-profit organization aiming purely to help people in need as much as to their extent. It is the largest vigorous radio communications network that deploys all means of communication system among the members. They are actively engaging in public assistance specially during disasters and other natural calamities or every time that there's a need to make sure the comfort of the public and its convenience.

Our enthusiastic CEBU STEEMIT BLOGGERS COORDINATORS and STEEMPH.CEBU CORE LEADERS @bellatravelph @ninyea and @itinerantph were very glad that we're able to share this wonderful platform to their organization for we can really see that they could provide assistance to more people who are in need through this platform. They are looking forward in joining and witness how the steem really works. Hopefully we can set another appointment with them to explain the platform to their members more or less 50 members of their organization.

That's basically how our meeting with the officers of KABALIKAT Civic Communicators, Philippines Inc went. Our greatest goal to achieve is to make steem as a mainstream social media platform. To enrich the Filipino lives. To create community events that would help less fortunate people in the community with the love and support from the platform.
