In the last few years, the use of paper bags has been implemented in the Philippines among commercial stores, instead of plastic bags. Which was good, but not totally followed. Some people still prefer the plastic bags usage for one reason or another. My family I must admit is not totally adhering to this. Local governments thoughout the country, which includes our municipality up North have also started doing regular clean-ups throughout the community, especially along the coastline. These town clean-ups, beautification, mangrove planting are ongoing measures all over the country.

So today, as Marlon aka @flabbergast-art is still in Bayawan City, together with Tatay Dagsa, they have joined a group sweep.ph from Danjugan Island in Negros for their own clean-up and contribution for the World's Ocean Day. Today, the whole world is cleaning up our trash, and this problem can only be solved through us.

One person at a time.

When our Ocean became our thrash bin:

Their CATCH of the DAY.

Wooh! Shocking as they may seem, they are what we think they are!

Are we surprised to see these things? How they came about, only US humans are the culprit. Our sea creatures can't distinguish what they are eating from those plastics that abound in their environment. But the world is waking up. Personally I'm just glad that we are now aware of how little things like these clean-ups all over the world can make a big impact and can bring CHANGE.

We often join in the beach clean-ups here @immarojas.It's a lot of fun as well as good for environment.

It's amazing how many people come here for the day, have a picnic or a barbecue and leave all there rubbish where it is. They just get up and walk away. Even though there are plenty of bins provided by the cancel just yards away 😢

They always say to leave things as you found them...in English😁😅🤣
Meet-ups in Brighton by the beach then Gillian??

I'm definitely up for meet-ups in Brighton. We've been talking about it for ages. I've been waiting to get some dates from my daughter as to when she needs child care. 😊

Why not? Esp it's summer, time to go to the beach😍😍

Yep. I've already been on the beach many times this summer @immarojas. It's just getting a date organised that's the problem. 😊

Isn't that's the best part🤣😅

It's the best part once the date has been decided upon @immarojas! 😁

Haha yeah..very true. Well, will get there Gillian😙

Plastic bags is dangerous to our environment ...it is harmful for us....our country has almost same rules to boycott plastic....but there are peoples are still using plastic bags..its very bad....i dont have use any plastic bags...i am aware about it

There are eco-bag nowadays so that's very helpful, for now.
