Philippines, pearl of the orient
Land of the worthy and ardentH
Home of astonishing species
In valleys, mountains, plain and seas
Oh, cradle of the valorous
Whose commitment is shown obvious
Hearts with beating zeal and fervor
Unreservedly offer ardor
To her refinement and beauty
Foreingners were charmed certainly
My country, she was enslaved
Corrupted, ruined and deprived
Oh how unbelievable the destiny would be
For a country so alive for the whole world to see
The colors of brightness had faded for a moment

Trapped in deep darkness,
Sealed in a demon's nest
But then, with their best they did all of their might
Acquiring the ability that could beat the speed of light
Continuously battling for their rights to survive
Oh glorous pearl that will soon be revived
Unfold, oh timid flower
Lift up your radiant brow this day,
Youth of my native strand
Your bounding talents show
Resplendently and grant
Fair hope of my motherland
Saor high, oh genius great, and with noble thought fill their mind
The honor's glorious seat,
May their virgin mind fly and find more rapidly than the wind
Descend with the pleasing light of the arts and science to the plain,
Oh youth and break forthright
The link of the heavy cain

See that in the ardent zone,
The spaniard, where shadows stand
Doth offer a shining crown with wise and merciful hand to the son of this indian land
You, who heavenward rise on wings on your rich fantasy
Seek in the olympian skies the tenderest poesy
More sweet than devine honey;
You of heavenly harmony,
On a calm unperturbed night,
Philomel's match in melody that in varied symphony,
Dissipate man's sorrow's bright,
You at the impulse of your mind the hard rock animate,
And your mind with great power consigned,
Transformed into immortal state the pure mem'ry of genius great;
And you, who with magic brush on canvas plain capture.
Oh! joyful! joyful day
The almighty blessed be,
Who, with loving eagerness sends you luck and happiness.
