RE: How To Buy a Condominium Unit in the Philippines
Well, it really depends on the person. In terms of living in it, house and lot is best for families who want their own private area. They can do whatever they want with the property, they can have a garden or whatever in front or the back yard. This usually means the house would be in farther areas from the commercial or business districts of the cities (in Metro Manila). Condominiums are best for those who want to live in the city and are fine with sharing common areas with other people in the building (lobby, play area, meeting rooms, swimming pool, gym, etc.)
Condos are more convenient because you can live in the center of everything. House and lots are good for privacy imho. You can live in a city subdivision but it won't have big commercial/business areas just outside the house. It will always be outside the subdivision/village but possibly near it. I believe that has something to do with zoning and city planning too.
