The Dessert Museum in Conrad Manila, Philippines
There is a different kind of museum that just came in existence a few months back. It's "different" because instead of paintings and sculptures, you'll see there dessert-themed rooms with one dessert focused on each. Given that Filipinos are very much into social media, people couldn't help but line up in The Dessert's Museum and start decorating their feeds with "sweetness".
I, together with 3 of my friends @ednamatopoeia, @onna8 and @emilevil, decided to go check out the hype.
I'll be sharing with you photos as well showing how crazy we are.
"DONUT flash those tantalizing eyes"
As a practicing photographer, I also took the opportunity to hone and gather more inspiration.
I didn't have any formal training, but I just want to get more exposure shooting in this type of environment. All the photos here are taken by yours truly, except for those that include me in the photo.
"Jump as if there's nothing to worry for tomorrow"
It's so cool how we all just unleashed our inner kid in all of us. We didn't mind what others may say seeing us do some crazy jumps and faces.
"Life's too colorful to be sad"
I was just using a kit lens during the entire shoot, and most of the rooms here in Dessert Museum have poor lighting. Still, I just wanted to practice how to get decent angles, and I'm proud of some , including this photo.
"Life's giving me so much, and I couldn't help but smile"
I also tried enhancing the lighting via Lightroom, and I'm slowly getting the hang of it. I know I have a lot to learn, but I'm happy with the progress. This photo is taken by my friend, and it was wonderful how it was able to come up with this seemingly "candid" photo.
"Tomorrow shall worry for itself, for now I'll just chill"
This photo is another favorite. I loved how the angle I got complemented the blissful gaze of @onna8. It was beautiful!
"Smile because that's a gift we can give to ourselves"
During the entire duration, we were just full of bliss. Our bodies are producing the happy hormones all throughout, and it shows in the photos.
"Be a model for a day because you can"
There are parts of the Dessert Museum wherein it really seem like a background for a cover shoot. Since it's not often that we do this, we just dove into the moment and became whatever we wanted to be.
