Dog Care during Summer season

If a dog is struggling hot, he can show these signs:

• Deep breathing
• Their language may be pink or red
• They keep tongues out of their mouth, as if they are tired
• They stretch more than usual and breathe heavily
• They may even have vomit
• They can raise their feet if the ground is too hot for their feet
  

Things to Remember:

• Like humans, dogs lose appetite during hot weather and may eat less. This is not automatically cause to worry, unless your dog is eating too much or vomiting after food.
• Darker color dogs absorb more sunlight, so consider that if your dog has such skin color, he will feel more heat
• Brighter color dogs are more likely to have sunburn
• Never lock a dog inside the car, regardless of weather.
  

How can you help your dog:

• Make sure your dog always has access to fresh water
• Avoid walking with dogs during midday, when it is also expected to be the hottest weather
• Even when you shoot the dog for a walk, take water with you
• If your dog is very hot, place it in a cooler place - somewhere in the shade
• Avoid walking on the surface to absorb more sunlight because you can hurt the canine
