A Kitten Named Pearl

Doris our 2 yr old German Shepherd puppy loves to play. She had been hinting around that perhaps another fur baby for her to play with would be nice. Okay okay... Maybe that was Ryely & myself.

It was time for the annual sale at our local pet supply store. Last year we were out of town traveling in the RV when the sale happened. This year we were home and we certainly did not want to miss it. So upon arrival I see the signs adoption day on the way in. Already so joyful that I get to give some love to these sweet pets that are looking for a home while we're getting our dog food. Before even getting into the pet store we had already adopted Pearl. When signing the adoption papers they told that the litter had been found in a trash bag a couple of weeks prior.

We were so grateful to be giving her a new home with a loving family we also made jokes in the car on the way home about naming her Oscar since her eyes are green and she used to live in trash bag. Apparently Matthew and I are the only ones that thought that was cute. Ryely & Doris were not going to let that fly. With good right she is not grouchy at all and has a sweet natured calm temperament that adds a perfect balance to our home.

Day 1 at the big house getting to know each other

At first Pearl had never been near a dog before, so she was super unsure. Pearl was sure that Doris kept a comfortable distance and knew that this tiny being is taking over as baby boss in the house. Doris didn't care, she just wanted to be near her. Doris is a wild child but has such a gentle nature (kind of like her Sister Ryely) didn't take long at all for the cuteness to melt us like butter.

Night 1 in the house

The very next morning it was time to eat breakfast. Doris really proves herself as a great big sister when the kitten gets confused which bowl is hers!

Less than 24 hrs of meeting

As you can imagine, there are no dull moments and our house is filled with heart melting adorableness 24/7! Doris loves her little sister and she is everything she ever wanted. She is ever so gentle with her little kitten sister, play time never ends.

So much more cuteness coming our way! Love sharing these sweet moments and having them to look back on as we all grow together.
