Peter Thiel Leaving Silicon Valley - What Do You Think?

Interesting stuff. I see a lot of left-leaning types saying something along the lines of "Good riddance, hate has no place here" - but that seems weird to me. Thiel is clearly a brilliant guy and, given the fact that he's gay, you can't try to pin this as some sort of cover-up for social conservatism.

I'm looking forward to what he does next - IMO, we could use healthier sources of conservative-oriented news. Maybe Thiel can provide a more reasonable alternative to the current, often shitty, options?

Who knows... perhaps most telling of all is the social media response to this article. Disappointingly, it seems like many people are continuing to use these stories as a chance to be loud and demonize everybody they disagree with ("stupid snowflakes" or "conservative assholes!") - which is just contributing to more tribalism and nonsense.

We'll see what happens... What do you think?
