#The Contests of Petals. #Flower - Strelitzia
Commonly known as the Bird of Paradise, the Strelitzia (Strelitziaceae) is indigenous to South Africa, more particularly the Eastern Cape. The unusual flower often attracts sunbirds and is very popular in floral arrangements, probably because it is so hardy.
The striking perennial Strelitzia is quite a feature in many South African gardens and worth entering the #petals contest in this upcoming weeks #flowers. Isn't it a majestic flower?
