Yes just by holding him. They get pretty big and yes they are pretty good with kids but when they are adults they have pretty sharp teeth so make sure to hold ot a lot from the very beginning.
So they live about 5 years. How old is the one in the photo? It looks very tiny 🙂
Im not quite sure because I purchased him from a pet store, but he is still a baby, my last one took about a year to get full size. Though I fed him a LOT! Lol he shed his skin like 2 a month! He is super tiny, that is actually what we've been calling him lol!
