Bombarding Yourself with Personal development (Learn now, Reap After)

in #personal7 years ago (edited)

I've recently been watching videos about personal and skills development and i'm having a wonderful time that I decided to share it to the steemit community.

I have always dreamt of being successful at a young age and I've totally got it wrong. I graduated with a degree in engineering and got a job for a class A company.

I thought that with all that I have, I'm done with learning and it's just a little more time until I get a promotion. But within the company I saw people who can present better, talk better, manage the work load better, and they were younger than me!

Observing them, I found out that they educate themselves with what they want to learn. I thought that they were just watching random videos or checking facebook but I was astonished they were watching Ted-talks or improvement pill.

I thought it was weird but once I tried it out, I can honestly say that I am more confident as a person and with what im not used to do such as public speaking or communication with other people.

So I'm sharing this to everyone : if you want to get successful you have to start working in developing yourself. Even watching at least 5 minute videos a day can really improve yourself. Here are some of the videos I watch :

  1. Improvement Pill
The Improvement Pill channel is a great way to understand you, yourself and your own. Their 5 minute videos is jam packed with information that could increase your interpersonal or intrapersonal abilities. I usually watch their videos while making breakfast or before I go to bed. Their videos is a true inspiration to believe in yourself and work hard for your goals

  2. Med School Insiders
Though most of their videos are more for medicine students, their videos teach you about self-discipline, self-control and patience. The lessons they share can be used in your day-to-day activities. Highly recommend this to students having a rough time with their studies (and medicine students lol)

  3. Ted Talks
Basically anything you want to learn, know or study is already incorporated in Ted talks. You want music? Ted talks, You want to learn how to earn? Ted talks, you want to communicate well? Ted talks, Want to design a library? Ted talks. I at least watch a video of Ted a day because of the interesting ideas in it. Thank you TED!

I also watch other channels but these are my favorite. I recommend just watching at least 2 videos a day! Even if you are busy doing something, just listening to their videos area great as well. Hope you guys enjoy these! Let me leave you with a quote from Warren Buffet
"Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago."
